Less Is Always More When It Comes to Packing

Less Is Always More When It Comes to Packing

According to an online survey conducted by Travelocity, most people pack too much when they travel. Sound familiar?! So before you start throwing things into your suitcase, take a step back and look at what you're bringing on your trip — this will help ensure that you have everything you need without taking up too much space in your suitcase or adding unnecessary weight.

Here at Karry London we're always looking for ways to minimise the things we pack in our luggage. One of the reasons why The Karry was created was to lighten the load of the skincare products we took. How many of us want to take our whole routine? Nothing wrong with that at all, but when they are full-sized products, that's when we fall into the trap of packing too much!

Decanting your favourite skincare products into our small, light and refillable glass bottles and jars is one way of space-save packing. We love practical solutions for packing light and in addition to using The Karry system, here are three top tips to help you to pack well and less:

Packing Cubes:

Use packing cubes. They help make the most out of limited space by compressing items together so they take up less room than if they were just thrown into a suitcase. All your items are in one place and they also help keep things organised during transit so nothing gets lost or damaged during travel time.

Store Items in Shoes:

Packing trainers or shoes? Then use them store small items such as socks, underwear, tights etc. You'd be surprised just how much footwear can hold. Be sure to use up all the available space, pushing down to the toes!

Plan:

One of the best if not the ultimate top tip for effective packing is to PLAN! Take some time before the trip to think about what you will be taking. Write a list. By doing this you will be able to take what is actually necessary. if time permits, do a dummy run as that will give you the chance to physically see if what you're planning to take is too much.
